[Press Release] Bluemoon Launches “Visit Japan: My Guest Research” to Capture Real-Time Traveler Insights

Hear Directly from Inbound Travelers on Site, with Real-Time Data Analysis Enabling Faster, Smarter Tourism Strategies.

Tokyo, Japan — July 20, 2018

Bluemoon Marketing Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Ayako Noda), a marketing firm specializing in the travel and IT sectors, has launched a new service, Visit Japan: My Guest Research, in partnership with Syno Japan Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Soji Nagano), the Japanese branch of Syno International, a Lithuania-based global provider of data collection solutions (CEO: Renata Sevcoviene).

The service allows tourism facilities and businesses in Japan to collect feedback from inbound travelers on-site, in multiple languages, through simple and efficient survey tools. The offering is paired with a real-time analytics dashboard called Inbound Real Time 360°View, which visualizes and analyzes responses instantly — enabling data-driven decision-making for tourism strategy and marketing.

Meeting the Demand for Direct Guest Feedback

Since 2015, Bluemoon has supported Japan’s inbound tourism industry through international research tools like the Visit Japan Guest Research® (launched in 2015) and the Inbound Omnibus (launched in 2017), which included travelers who had never visited Japan.

However, feedback from clients revealed a recurring challenge:

“We have many guests from certain countries, but don’t know why.”
“We want to know how travelers discovered our facility — but collecting feedback is too time-consuming.”

Recognizing these needs, Bluemoon developed Visit Japan: My Guest Research as a scalable, multilingual solution to collect insights directly from guests visiting individual facilities. The pilot was conducted with Ibusuki Royal Hotel in Kagoshima Prefecture, where CEO Yuri Hosokawa commented:

“Until now, we relied on reviews from booking sites to understand guest feedback. With this new tool, we can easily run our own surveys and collect real, actionable data to shape clearer strategies.”

After refining the tool based on the pilot, Bluemoon officially launched the service on July 20, 2018.
