[Press Release] Blue Match Beta Launch: Connecting Media Who Want to Tell Japan’s Story with Places That Need to Be Seen
Bluemoon Marketing opens beta access to a new B2B platform bridging global media with Japan’s untold destinations and services.
Tokyo, Japan — July 31, 2024
Bluemoon Marketing Inc., a Tokyo-based PR and marketing firm specializing in tourism and tech industries, has officially launched the beta version of its new B2B platform, Blue Match. This service connects foreign-language media and influencers (both overseas and Japan-based) with Japanese tourism operators, destinations, and service providers who are eager to be discovered by the world.
To further develop the service with real-world feedback, Bluemoon is now accepting 30 trial partners at a discounted rate during the beta phase, running through March 2025.
Born from Real Needs on Both Sides
For years, Bluemoon has worked closely with international media in inbound PR efforts, often fielding requests such as:
-
“We’re heading to Japan — any hidden spots we should cover?”
-
“Can you help arrange interviews with lesser-known places?”
-
“We’d love to cover a new opening, but communication is tricky.”
At the same time, Japanese tourism providers often express challenges like:
-
“We’re still not seeing inbound visitors.”
-
“We opened a new facility, but don’t know how to promote it overseas.”
-
“We had media coverage once — but what’s next?”
Blue Match was created to meet both needs. It enables efficient, curated connections between the right media and the right local experiences — offering a win-win system for impactful international exposure.

Early User Feedback
To mark the launch, Bluemoon held a private pre-release showcase on July 13 at SUIGIAN, a traditional arts-themed restaurant and bar in Tokyo’s Nihonbashi district.
15 foreign media representatives were invited to experience the venue and explore Blue Match.
Feedback included:
“It’s rare to find a tool that lets us view story-worthy venues and contact them easily — Blue Match makes that possible.”
Also in June, Korean media conducted a feature on Any Wear, Anywhere, a clothing rental service for travelers. The company noted:
“We’ve been approached by foreign media before, but often the coverage wasn’t as expected — or contact dropped mid-way. Blue Match provides peace of mind with full coordination and follow-up.”
Looking Ahead
Bluemoon aims to double the number of media registered on Blue Match by March 2025 and launch the full service in the next fiscal year.
Partnership inquiries from local governments, DMOs, and regional tourism entities are welcome.
