[Announcement] Regulation on Stealth Marketing in Japan
As of October 1, 2023, the Consumer Affairs Agency has implemented regulations against “stealth marketing,” requiring disclosure of compensation for social media posts in Japan.

Exceptions:
For projects targeting international audiences, local laws will be adhered to if using such tags is inappropriate or difficult due to the social media environment of the target country.
